The Audalytic AH90 is a DAC offering excellent decoding performance and precise sound reproduction, thanks to a careful and intelligent design. And it's reasonably priced for what it delivers. As well as using top-of-the-range components, such as an AKM AK4499EX DAC chip or an XMOS XU316 USB interface, the AH90 boasts comprehensive connectivity, even providing balanced and single-ended amplified headphone outputs. It's also a connected device that can be used as a streamer, thanks to its RJ45 Ethernet port.
AK4499EX DAC
The Audalytic AH90 is based on an AK4499EX digital-to-analog conversion chip and an AK4191 digital modulation chip. This design drastically reduces interference between digital and analog circuits. As a result, the AH90 is able to deliver high-quality decoding, favoring high-precision, crystal-clear playback.
FPGA
With its integrated, specially programmed FPGA, the AH90 ensures high-quality clock signal processing. It is thus able to greatly reduce jitter levels for perfect signal synchronization and enhanced sound accuracy.
Streamer
The Audalytic AH90 features a streamer function via Ethernet, enabling you to stream your music remotely. In particular, it supports DLNA, AirPlay and Roon protocols, enabling you to access your music from devices connected to the local network, whether a computer, NAS or smartphone.
XMOS XU316 USB interface
The AH90's USB-C input is combined with a 3rd-generation XMOS XU316 USB interface. This ensures efficient signal decoding via this input, and supports high-resolution audio streams up to PCM 32bit 768kHz, DSD512 and MQA.
CK-01 Clock
The on-board CK-01 clock oscillator enables the AH90 to supply its FPGA with a high-precision clock signal. This greatly reduces the device's jitter.
Headphone outputs
The Audalytic AH90 features a headphone amplifier with two outputs: a balanced Jack 4.4mm and a single-ended Jack 6.35mm. In addition, two gain levels are available to enable the device to adapt to the vast majority of headphones on the market.
MQA
The AH90 is capable of efficiently decoding MQA (Master Quality Authenticated) streams. These ensure sound reproduction as close as possible to the original studio recording, thanks to files validated directly by the artist, record company or copyright holders.
