Breaking away from the traditional D/A chip solution, the Musician Draco R-2R resistor network design provides high quality PCM and DSD conversion with extremely low digital noise and distortion. Its advanced digital filters, rugged construction and sophisticated circuitry result in extremely dynamic, detailed and natural sound reproduction. An extremely high sample rate limit makes the Draco extremely durable and obsolescence-free.
SYMMETRIC R2R DAC
The R2R architecture of the Musician Draco provides fast, high-quality decoding, combined with low digital noise for maximum distortion and extremely low noise levels. In combination with specially developed Draco digital filters, DAC delivers dynamic, rich and natural sound reproduction.
FULL RANGE OF CONNECTIONS
The Musician Draco has a wide range of connectivity options (I2S, AES/EBU, USB, optical and coaxial SPDIF), and is compatible with all common digital interconnects, so it can be connected to any digital source device. The unit is fully symmetrical, so it has symmetrical XLR outputs in addition to the standard RCA sockets.
QUALITY COMPONENTS
The Draco's high-performance control circuitry, built around an Altera Cyclone FPGA, and the associated signal shaping unit, made up of very low-value dispersion resistors, results in highly accurate data processing without signal distortion.
OPTIMIZED LINEAR POWER
The Musician Draco's linear power supply is based on an oversized toroidal transformer and a large buffer stage. Separate power supply for the digital and analog circuits provides effective noise protection and stable operation.
I2S HDMI
The pin assignment of the HDMI socket for I2S connectivity is freely configurable, allowing the Draco to be perfectly calibrated to any source device.
