Breaking with traditional D/A chip design, Musician's Pegasus R-2R resistor networked design delivers high-quality, high-resolution PCM and DSD conversion with ultra-low digital noise and distortion. Its special 32-step digital FIR filters, rugged construction and sophisticated circuitry deliver highly dynamic, detailed and natural sound reproduction. The sampling limit set to extremely high values (PCM 1526 kHz, DSD 1024) makes the Pegasus converter extremely durable and versatile, without fear of its obsolescence for many years.
HIGH-END PARTS
Pegasus' high-performance control circuit built around the Altera Cyclone FPGA and associated signal-forming unit made up of resistors with very low dispersion result in highly accurate data processing without signal distortion and a signal-to-noise ratio of 123dB.
FULL CONNECTION
Musician Pegasus has a wide range of connectivity options (I2S, AES/EBU, USB, aptical and coaxial SPDIF), it supports all common digital connection methods, so it can be connected to all kinds of digital source devices. The device has a completely symmetrical construction, so in addition to standard RCA sockets, it also has symmetrical XLR outputs.
OPTIMIZED LINEAR POWER SUPPLY
Musician's Pegasus linear power supply is based on an oversized toroidal transformer and a large buffer stage. Separate power supply of digital and analog circuits ensures effective noise cancellation and stable operation of the device.
The I2S HDMI port has a freely configurable contact layout so that Pegasus can be perfectly calibrated for any source device.
